So many people say that they don’t like brussels sprouts, and I used to be one of them until I found new ways to cook them besides boiled or steamed. I recently made this recipe for my son-in-law who swore he would never like brussels sprouts. I had to coax him to just try them and he was surprised to find that he really liked them.
I saw another interesting brussel sprout recipe on The Chew the other day also. Michael Symon deep fried them and added capers and walnuts, click here for that recipe.

Cream Brussel Sprouts
Ingredients
- 2 pounds of cored brussels sprouts, shredded through a food processor
- Four slices of bacon
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup of cream or half and half
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook bacon and set aside. Remove all but two tablespoons of bacon grease from the pan.
- Saute sprouts in bacon drippings until lightly browned.
- Add chicken broth and cook until broth has reduced more than half.
- Add cream, crumbled bacon and salt and pepper.
I have cooked this and it is scrumptious!!! I was never a lover of brussel sprouts until I tried this recipe.
