Frio River Trip

Posted on June 7, 2014 by Lanie Fioretti

We had a girls’ trip to the Frio River, right after Memorial Day.  Of course, that included a stop in Fredericksburg, and Kerrville.  The river was fabulous and we stayed in the Frio River Cabins.  The water was moving pretty fast, since they had had over 5 inches of rain.  Walking across the river, right by the dam at Garner State Park, was a highlight for me.  There were some huge cypress trees lining the River.

Our stop in Kerrville was at the cultural center, where the Gourd Art Show is going on until June 22.  I have been before, and am always amazed at this art form.
