We have such a lovely crop of marigolds every year, and the best part is that I never plant them, they reseed themselves. While I started planting them not just because they are such great color in the garden, and really cheerful in a vase on the table, but they help control the harmful garden insects too. However, I love the idea of eating most of what grows in our yard, so the marigold flower petals are my main focus right now. None of the green, just pull the petals and scatter them on salad, or dry them and use like saffron! There’s a good article in Mother Earth, click here.
