Austin in April (2015)

Posted on April 27, 2015April 27, 2015 by Lanie Fioretti

It’s just not possible to go to Austin, without eating at some great restaurants.  We started with appetizers and mango margaritas at Fonda San Miguel.

When we were leaving Fonda, we walked over to their garden area, and were lucky enough to catch the gardener at work.  I asked lots of questions, of course, particularly about pest control, since they grow organic.  There were rows and rows of gorgeous veggies.  He even showed us his planting sequence.

We went to Bartlett’s (formerly Houston’s) and had a fabulous dinner.  I had crab cakes, and Don had pork chops.  It was too dark, I mean it had a lot of atmosphere, and the pictures didn’t turn out!
