Author: Lanie Fioretti

My name is Lanie Fioretti and although I am not a classically trained chef or a degreed nutritionist, I have been studying food and nutrition voraciously since the early seventies. After working in public health and private practice for 22 years, I retired my dental hygiene license. I have taught cooking classes at Whole Foods and Central Market, done product development for a bakery in east Texas, catered, and been a personal chef. I usually think of myself as an improvisational cook!

(Breakfast) Baked Peanut Butter and Banana Oatmeal

Posted on December 10, 2014 by Lanie Fioretti

You’re noticing a breakfast theme by now – I just can’t stop!  And no picture, because really all baked oatmeal looks alike. I didn’t add egg to this recipe, because I created it for a client that can’t eat eggs.  If you want to add egg, reduce the milk to 2 cups. Print(Breakfast) Baked Peanut…

Even Better Breakfast Kolache

Posted on December 9, 2014May 14, 2015 by Lanie Fioretti

Clearly there are always ways to improve an (already) wonderful recipe!  When I was at the lodge, this was my new, improved version of the crescent kolache.  Even the people who had tasted the original recipe, thought this version was to die for.
