Buttery Rice Krispy Treats
Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 10 ounces or 4 cups marshmallows
- Pinch salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 6 cups Krisp Rice cereal
Instructions
- Place butter, marshmallows, and salt in a large microwaveable bowl. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir and microwave for an additional minute.
- Stir until smooth. Add vanilla and combine well.
- Add cereal. Stir until coated.
- Press mixture into 13 x 9 inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool and cut into squares.
- Note: I stopped using a pan years ago. I place the mixture on a length of wax paper. Then lifting the sides of the wax paper, I use one hand to create the edges while pressing and spreading the mixture with a spatula, to form a rectangle.
