Who knew that Meridian had such a great restaurant? We had a little day trip to Hico, then we went on to Meridian, to try a restaurant that we’d heard about. Our last stop was back to Hico, to go to Wiseman Chocolates, because you can’t make that trip, without going to Wiseman (great gifts for the holidays). But more about about Cactus Grill. First, don’t pass up the bread. It’s a soft texture, amazing herb bread, served with a delicious herb butter. There wasn’t a bad meal at the table. We had Mexican Meatballs with chipotle cream sauce, Fried Catfish (amazing), and Chicken Piccata. It’s BYOB, so we had a champagne lunch. I know, there are no pictures. We took pictures, but my editor said they weren’t good enough!
