The Second Saturday Artisan Market in Waco, was this past weekend. It was our stop before lunch, and we decided to wait a couple months before going back – not too much going on there, right now.
Fridays Seafood and More was our lunch destination on Saturday. I tried to go on a Monday, but they’re closed. And, I’m really glad I made the effort to go back, because you’d have to try, to have a bad meal there. They have awesome food. The Étouffée and the bread pudding are a must. The po boys are unbelievable. We got a hot tip to order the soft shell crab and crawfish po boy the next time. This time, I had red snapper with potato salad and étouffée, and it was so delicious. As usual, I devoured half of it, before I remembered that I was supposed to take a picture. I wouldn’t have been above photographing a fellow diner’s lunch, if I believed, it was even a remote possibility. I’ll get pictures, next time, because I’m sure there will be a next time.
Make sure you call about their hours. Ask them about the big crawfish boil they are having this spring.
