What a great weekend to go to the Dallas Arboretum for the Chihuly exhibit. We got there when it opened on Sat. and it was a little drizzly and cool, so there were very few people. We couldn’t have planned a better time to go. Chihuly is such a master of glass and the exhibit is well worth a trip to the arboretum. I thought you might enjoy some pictures, so you’d know what to expect. These are large, very large pieces. The yellow glass tree is 30 ft tall.
While we were in Dallas, we went to Posados to eat, and it was really good. I had shrimp tacos with sauteed veges and borracho beans. There are locations in the Dallas area, Austin, and a number of other Texas cities. Ozona on Greenville was our brunch / lunch spot. They had great burgers.
Lanie, Thanks for sharing the Chihuly exhibition. How incredible and I know the sculptures were even more impressive seeing them in person. You continue to educate me . . I didn’t even know who Chihuly was. Wish I could have been there with ya’ll!
