While I did finally put out a couple decorations, mostly there’s a little cheery color in the yard.
It’s hard to believe it’s the holiday season, and the end of the year. I have no expectations for 2014 (yet), but it’s sure to bring new and interesting things into our lives. After all, I could never have anticipated a 4-month visit with my brother, this year. That was an unexpected joy in my life.
We had considered other options for Christmas day, but we’re spending it reconstructing the plastic for the greenhouse. I know, it doesn’t sound very exciting, except to us! The 30 mph winds did some unwanted remodeling, and we’re giving it one more shot. It shouldn’t take too long, and the payoff is that I’ll be able to plant, as soon as it’s more secure.
Don’s cooking (I love that), and decided grilled steaks and baked potatoes are dinner. Our neighbors might join us for a drink later. The family get together will be Saturday. We’ll make it to Austin next week, then to an after Christmas party on Jan. 4.
Here’s wishing your Christmas is special, and gives you a gift of wonderful memories.
