Continuing with new delicious sides, I decided on Ginger Garlic Broccoli. This is a quick and easy side dish, with the taste of Asia.
Ginger Garlic Broccoli
Ingredients
- 1 TBSP grape seed oil
- 1 1/2 lbs frozen broccoli florets (or use fresh, if you prefer)
- 3-4 green onions, diced
- 3 cloves garlic pressed or minced
- Thumb-size piece of ginger, finely grated
- Dash of ground cumin
- Dash of ground coriander
- Dash of red pepper flakes, togarashi, or other hot spice
- Generous sprinkle of sesame seed seasoning, like Simply Asia sweet ginger garlic
- 1/4-1/3 cup of coconut cream, from the top of good brand, unsweetened, full fat coconut milk, like Thai Kitchen, or Trader Joe’s
- Salt
- Lime wedges
Instructions
- Heat oil in large skillet on medium high.
- Add broccoli. I used frozen, so I never had to add water. I stir fried a little. Then covered it until defrosted.
- Add the rest of the ingredients, except lime. Stir fry until well combined and broccoli is tender crisp.
- Serve with lime wedges.
- Note: for more of an Asian flavor, drizzle with toasted sesame oil
