It’s hard to beat a good grilled cheese sandwich. When there’s nothing else to have in the fridge, I can always put together a good grilled cheese. Jane Epps (from Epps Family Farm) inspired me to make this recipe. It’s scrumptious. I’ll tell you what I used, then you can change it up however your chef spirit inspires you!
Another one of my favorite grilled cheese recipes starts by combining sriracha, a little anchovy paste, a little pressed garlic, and sometimes mayonnaise. Smear that on the bread, put some cheese on, and grill it. It’s awesome.
Gourmet Grilled Cheese
Ingredients
- Good artisan bread
- Mayonnaise
- Sliced olives - I used calamata and ripe green
- Manchego cheese, sliced
- Arugula leaves
- Butter
- Other ingredients to think about using: bacon, tomato, avocado
Instructions
- Heat a skillet.
- Smear the inside of the bread slices with mayo.
- Lay on the stuff.
- Grill it!
