Since plums are on sale at HEB this week, here’s a quick dessert to try. Grilling fruit brings out the natural sugars. This recipe is also good with nectarines, peaches, and apricots.
Grilled Plums
Ingredients
- 4 large plums, halved and pitted
- 1-2 TBSP butter
- honey for drizzling
- cinnamon for sprinkling
- all natural vanilla yogurt (optional)
Instructions
- Melt butter in a small pan.
- Heat grill or grill pan on medium high heat.
- Dip cut side of plum in melted butter and place on grill. Sear about 3 minutes, until you see grill marks.
- Flip and grill bottom for another 3 minutes.
- Serve with a drizzle of honey, a sprinkle of cinnamon, an a small spoon of yogurt, if you like.
- Note: toppings could include crushed cookies (like Anna's), crushed nuts, or granola
