There have been a couple good articles recently in Mother Earth News. I’m always looking for ways to stay healthy without relying on over-the-counter or prescription meds. I’ve been careful about not overusing antibiotics, purchasing meats from animals raised without antibiotics, and even not using antibacterial soaps. But I forget there are residual antibiotics in our water supplies and water ways. For more information on Herbal Antibiotics, click here. One of the other things we rely on, in our household, is colloidal silver. It is another natural product that does not promote the creation of “superbugs.”
Also, there was a great study done by the Harvard School of Public Health on the cost of eating healthy. It compares all the monetary factors involved with eating foods that aren’t healthy for us. Click here for that article.
After a little research, I found a “readable” article on carbohydrates and Alzheimer’s disease, in Forbes. It’s a short article, with the most complete information. The information centers around consuming healthy fats and protein, rather than carbohydrates. Keep in mind the fats and proteins the Dr. talks about are from good plant sources or pastured animals, not industrialized food. Click here, to read.
