Limas and Bacon
Ingredients
- 1-2 TBSP butter
- 3 slices bacon, diced
- 1 large rib celery, sliced
- 8-12oz frozen lima beans
- 1/2 cup broth
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp granulated garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp granulated onion powder
- 1/4 tsp dried thyme
- Frankly Delicious seasoning*
- 2 TBSP sour cream
- 2 TBSP heavy cream
- 1 tsp mustard
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter and add bacon. Continue cooking bacon until about halfway done.
- Stir in celery and continue cooking until bacon is crisp.
- Add limas, broth, and all the seasonings. Cover and continue cooking until limas are very soft. Add additional broth if needed.
- When most of broth has evaporated, add sour cream and cream. Cook on low heat until reduced and there is a creamy consistency.
- Stir in mustard and serve. Add additional crumbled bacon on top when serving. I mean, what could it hurt?
