This is a picture I took off of CR 315 the other day. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
I have to say, it’s been a great day. A couple of friends and I started out at the Owl Creek Ceramics open house, and it was as fabulous as usual. Between the 3 of us, we ended up with some gorgeous pieces. I managed to restrain myself this year. Dec 3rd (9-5) and Dec. 5th (10-2) are the next 2 open house days. Click here for their location.
Of course, we had to go to Temple to shop and eat because we were just too close! After two attempts to go to Megg’s Cafe (on a Monday when they’re closed-I’m a slow learner) I finally got to eat lunch there, and it was excellent. I had a bowl of Italian Sausage Vegetable Soup and Pumpkin Pie Pancakes (I know it’s strange). We also had a “banh mi’ sandwich and a roasted turkey sandwich with fresh potato chips. Everything was really good, but the biggest hit with us was the pancakes. They were amazing, light, gingery……….. Everything they do is fresh and local. After we ate, we just had to go to the bakery to take a few things home. For information about them and to see a menu, hours, etc., click here. Also, the Natural Grocer sells Hamilton Bread Co. cookies and some sandwiches from Megg’s.
