On December 30, there is a two hour PBS documentary based on Michael Pollan’s book, In Defense of Food. It’s definitely worth watching and/or recording. Pollan has a simple approach to food, and alleviates a lot of confusion about what’s “healthy.” Click here, for an inside look at the filming of the show. Locally it’s on KAMU or KNCT. As a result of the book and film, there has been an education initiative which includes a curriculum of 10 lesson plans for middle school students, to teach them what food vs. food-like substances are.
