Historic Midland Hotel Hico Texas is only one of many reasons to spend the day in this great little town. On the way to Possum Kingdom Lake, we stopped at the recently opened, newly remodeled hotel to have lunch. The Chop House did not disappoint. We all had fabulous lunches. To give you the feel of the hotel, I’m giving you pictures of the lobby, as well as the awesome food.
Because we wanted to try another restaurant in Hico on the way home from the lake, we stopped at Eis. Only open from 11-2, it has scrumptious sandwiches. I had grilled turkey with baked potato salad and homemade pickles. My next visit to Hico I’m eating at the brand new 2nd Street Provisions. It’s a coffee shop, farm fresh market, and cookery. Starting June 23, they will sell pasture raised and grass fed meats.
