A friend of my brother’s sent me this recipe. It is so easy and so scrumptious. I’ve made a couple of adjustments in the original recipe which were heartily approved by my tasting committee!!
My cousin needs calories, so I’ve been making a lot more desserts lately. Of course, the rest of us could do without them, but we hate for him to eat alone. This cake only lasted one day.
Nutella Cake
Ingredients
- 1/2 box Devil's Food cake mix
- 8 oz sour cream
- Jar of nutella
- 1 egg
- 8 oz softened cream cheese
- 1/4 cup confectioners sugar
- 8 oz heavy cream
- 1/4 cup confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350
- Mix cake mix, sour cream, 1/2 jar nutella and egg.
- Bake according to box directions (use tart pan).
- Mix cream cheese, 1/4 cup confectioners sugar, and remaining nutella. Set aside.
- When cake is cool, top with nutella, cream cheese mixture. Then whip cream slightly. Add 1/4 cup confectioners sugar and vanilla, and continue to whip to fairly stiff consistency.
- Serve cake topped with whipped cream.
