Pecan Praline Crackers

Pecan Praline Crackers are my new go-to recipe at the lodge, when I don’t have time to make Pecan Squares.  Transform a few pantry staples into a quick and amazingly delicious dessert.  While this recipe can be made with graham crackers, the saltiness of a Club-type cracker makes them irresistible.  If you have a few pecans that don’t stick to the crackers, sprinkle them on ice cream or oatmeal!

Pecan Praline Crackers

Ingredients

  • Club Crackers
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 325
  2. Completely cover the bottom of parchment lined 10x15-inch sheet cake pan with crackers.
  3. Bring sugar, butter, and cream of tartar to a boil in a saucepan. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour mixture over the top of the crackers.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Cool for a few minutes in the pan. Remove from pan while still warm.
  5. If they're too sticky to place on a serving dish, refrigerate briefly.
