This is a great main dish for a special occasion, it’s simple and elegant. I used this in one of the Valentine’s menus for cooking classes I did for Whole Foods.
Pork Chops with Balsamic Sauce
Ingredients
- 16 oz balsamic vinegar
- 1 peeled shallot
- 2-3 sage leaves or a sprig of rosemary
- 4 thick cut pork chops
- Granulated garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- Baby spinach leaves
Instructions
- Place balsamic, shallot, and sage in a saucepan on medium heat, and reduce by half. The balsamic should be thick and kind of syrupy.
- Let pork chops sit at room temperature for about 1 hour before cooking.
- Sprinkle chops with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Grill until done to your liking.
- To serve, place chop on a bed of baby spinach and drizzle with balsamic.
