It’s been great day in Portland. The weather was gorgeous, much to my surprise, glad NOAA was wrong. I love it that it’s spring here and the cherry blossoms are out. Also the camellia bushes and azalea bushes are gorgeous.
We did a little shopping and some serious grocery shopping. Grocery shopping is always fabulous with my niece, because she’s the Demo/Merchandiser for New Seasons Market. Tonight we’re having an all natural corned beef dinner. New Seasons brines their corned beef (it’s not pre-packaged), and we simmered it in stout beer for 3 hours. How could that possibly be bad?!
We had lunch at McMenamin’s. If you come to the northwest, go to one of the McMenamins, and if you have the chance, stay in one of their historic hotels.
