At first glance, the picture may look like this is a post about brisket (which was awesome). However, it’s really about slathering it with Scrumptious Special Sauce! It’s really good on all types of meats, fish, sandwiches, potatoes, and as a dipping sauce. But, it’s even good in stuffing mixtures. With only 4 ingredients, it’s a great way to bump up the flavor of your summer meals.
So, about the brisket. I smoked it at 180 on a Traeger Smoker/Grill for 12 hours. Then, I baked it at 300 in a covered container for 4 hours. Of course, I poured a bottle of beer in the bottom of the pan, while it was baking! Then, I baked it at 375 for 2-3 hours, until it was incredibly tender. Needless to say, it was a project!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup dijon
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 3 TBSP barbecue sauce
- 1 tsp (or more) hot sauce
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients.
- Serve with meat or sandwiches. Use as an ingredient with stuffing mixes or a dip.
The sauce does look good, but that brisket looks like it doesn’t need any help!
