Shrimp Bread Salad
Part of my travel meal recipe collection.
Ingredients
- Cooked shrimp
- Artisan or crusty bread, torn in small chunks
- Lettuce
- Granulated garlic (similar to garlic powder and sometimes called garlic powder)
- Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- In a bowl or on a plate, toss shrimp, bread chunks, and lettuce together.
- Sprinkle with granulated garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper.
- Drizzle on olive oil and balsamic.
- Toss and enjoy.
- Note: I usually buy small cooked shrimp, or cook a few shrimp in the microwave, then add them to the salad. I always carry my seasonings with me. If I'm flying and check a bag, I carry a very small oil and balsamic with me, but I've never had trouble finding small containers on the road, and if I need to, I leave them for the maid.
