It wouldn’t take long to guess where we went – Jack Allen’s Kitchen, of course. We’ve wanted to try brunch for a while. They do a fabulous buffet. Some of my highlights were: house cured ham, green chile pork and eggs, jalapeno sausage, homemade breakfast sausage, chicken fried chicken, chicken fried ribeye, jambalaya, and braised chicken and mushrooms. Also, there were migas, macaroni and cheese (looked awesome), cheese grits, all kinds of pickles, slaw, and pastries. If you want eggs, pancakes, or biscuits and gravy, they make them to order. What they have on any particular Sunday, depends on what’s in season and they can get locally. It was 15.99 per person. There were some drink specials, like mimosas, but I can’t remember what they were.
Make reservations if you go, because it’s pretty crowded. Otherwise, you might have to wait.
