I’m traveling to Ft. Worth more than I used to, because my brother is living there now. It works well for major food shopping trips for me – Trader Joe’s, Fresh Market, Central Market……. He’s a foodie too. This last trip we ate lunch at the Swiss Pastry Shop. The food is amazing. I had 2 of the things that they’re known for – Black Forest Cake, and the Wagyu burger. The Black Forest Cake is kind of airy layers of pavlova, with fabulous whipped cream and chocolate shavings. It’s served frozen, and unbelievably light and scrumptious. When I tell you about the burger, no more needs to be said. It was Wagyu beef with cheddar, smoked brisket, and applewood bacon. They make their own bread, so the bun was incredible. I ate half!!
They are only open for breakfast and lunch. As much as I like trying different places, whenever I go up there, I’m going to have to go to this one again.
