We decided to have a little Temple outing the day we went to Owl Creek Ceramics. It took a long time for us to finish shopping at Owl Creek. There were great ceramic pieces and tons of gorgeous baskets. We all ended up with baskets. I bought a good size basket to hold cookbooks I am currently viewing! Otherwise, I have stacks of cookbooks on all the tables.
Our next stop was Megg’s Cafe. I had a beet and goat cheese salad, and we got a short stack of wholewheat pancakes with toasted pecans for the center of the table – dessert, of course.
I had to make a stop at O M Spice to check out the naan bread. They have frozen naan at a really good price, so I decided we needed those, in addition to tortillas for the pig roast (more about that later).
There is a new restaurant, 93 West, in Temple I want to try. I didn’t know about it on this last trip. A couple from Austin opened it, and the menu looks wonderful.
