Had a little outing in the Temple area, and here’s some places you might like.
Teddy Bear Bakery – only 4 months old. He bakes his own bread for the sandwiches, has a muffin of the day, and some great all natural sodas. The website is still under construction, but you can get the address and info on their facebook page, click here.
Green’s Sausage House – a lot of you know where this is. Lunch was OK, but I go for the market. Today I got a smoked pork tenderloin, and dill Harvarti cheese. Just a couple things I like to treat myself with. I always have a cooler with ice packs in my car, doesn’t everyone?!! Green’s is about 13 miles east of Temple on 53, click here for their information. And if you are going to go there, then when you get done, turn right out of their parking lot and make another right just past the restaurant on 437, and head to Rogers on 36. You have to go to –
Veranda Bloom – what an amazing shop. They have very beautiful, and a lot of different home decor, plus jewelry, purses, etc. Even if you don’t buy anything, you feel better just walking around the shop. Click here for their information.

Cathay House in Waco (near Bosque and Valley Mills) – Recently I ordered “to go.” I got 2 items off the Gourmet Specialty section, Cathay House Steak Kew and Panda’s double Happiness, and they were both very good. Skip the Hot and Sour soup, it’s marginal at best.
