Mark Bittman wrote a good article, recently, in the New York Times on the food industry. He talks about how it’s impossible for the food companies to do anything that really might improve the health situation in this country, because there’s no money in it. And even though what they are producing will eventually eliminate their consumer base (due to health issues), they are redesigning highly processed foods to make them SEEM healthy.
