Had a weekend away in Austin, and made it a bit of a restaurant tour!
We started the trip by having breakfast a Greenhouse Craft Food in Round Rock. It’s just south of IKEA, and they have really good food. We will definitely be going back. I had breakfast tacos with their homemade chorizo, and Don had biscuits and gravy.
Then it was on to Austin to do a few errands, go to a couple more studios on the West Side Studio Tour, and lunch of course. We went back to Epicerie. Their menu changes regularly, and everything is still delicious! I had a burger and fries, but there was also a gourmet grill cheese with tomato soup, porchetta sandwich, and caesar salad at the table.
Saturday night we made our way to Hopfields for a light supper. I had an octopus salad with potatoes, caper berries, and peppers. It was fabulous, but a nicoise salad was also at the table, and a definite runner up for fabulousness.
Sunday morning, we had brunch at Tyson’s Tacos on Airport Blvd. It was a great morning to sit outside and have a good Mexican breakfast. Got no pictures, you just have to try it!
