We spent a couple nights in the Yosemite National Park area. We were relaxing and getting geared up for the long drive home through Arizona and New Mexico. Yosemite was beautiful, but it was clearly not the best time of year to be there. Because the creeks and waterfalls are best when the snow is melting, we decided late May or June would be the best for scenery. In addition, it kind of feels like we’re in a foreign country. Lots of French speaking people, a few Japanese, and a few Deutsch, but English definitely scarce.
The food, in the town we stayed in, was not memorable, but we did have a good pizza and a grass fed burger at South Gate Brewing Company.
Here’s a few pictures from our day at Yosemite.
