Author: Lanie Fioretti

My name is Lanie Fioretti and although I am not a classically trained chef or a degreed nutritionist, I have been studying food and nutrition voraciously since the early seventies. After working in public health and private practice for 22 years, I retired my dental hygiene license. I have taught cooking classes at Whole Foods and Central Market, done product development for a bakery in east Texas, catered, and been a personal chef. I usually think of myself as an improvisational cook!

Panama As We Picture It

Posted on September 13, 2012August 22, 2016 by Lanie Fioretti

It’s not that there weren’t things that went wrong while we were in Panama, like losing one of my favorite earrings, the one hour ride on a road so bad I’m sure my internal organs are rearranged, or the scrape across the bumper of the rent car that happened while it was parked, but this…

Blueberry, Corn, and Basil Salad

Posted on September 11, 2012 by Lanie Fioretti

We got back to the states late Tuesday. Wednesday will be spent trying to get geared-up and quit moving on “Panama time”. Don has promised to get the pictures uploaded, so I can share them with you. And luckily, Angela has another great recipe for you today. As I discovered, there’s a reason you don’t…
